One-day examiners have been observing the general public, ages 8 to over 90, for nearly twenty years now, and have NEVER noticed ANY difference based on "seniority." Yet some who attend are concerned that their age may make it harder to succeed. NOT SO.
In grading thousands of exams, we have seen absolutely no evidence of memory loss of the kind needed here from roughly 16 years of age up. "Mature" attendees get the same scores as the younger folk.

Ham radio is unique among many hobbies, it does not end at a certain age as many other hobbies do. What a ham of a given age may find fascinating does differ, but there are many places in the hobby.
To the left is Tahmara Hendrickson KC9UJM from Viroqua WI, who was licensed in 2011 at age 8, to become one of our youngest hams.
The One-Day team has also helped many with severe handicaps to become licensed. For example we have seen several blind hams go on to become very active.
Ham radio is truly an activity for everyone. So is the One-Day program. Age is no impediment.
We at One-Day look at ham radio as one of the world's best kept secrets.
