SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER REQUIRED FOR HAM LICENSE

After you pass the examination, we will submit an FCC Form 605 application for your ham license. The form requires that you give a Social Security Number or a Federal Registration Number (FRN). One IS mandatory. Otherwise, the FCC will not issue you a license.

Be absolutely assured that both we and the FCC observe strict security if you give your SS#. But, if you are unwilling to give it, obtain an FRN BEFORE coming to a One-Day session. We will be unable to process your application without one or the other.

Obtaining an FRN

To obtain a Federal Registration Number, go to | WWW.FCC.GOV | and click on CORES in the left column. Follow the direction to obtain your FRN. Be sure you have it in your possession before attending a One-Day session.
